New Zealand motorcyclist Shane Richardson, 29, has died after a horrific 11-bike crash during a British Supersport race at Oulton Park in Cheshire, which also claimed the life of 21-year-old English rider Owen Jenner.
Richardson, a former NZ rider of the year based in the UK since 2019, succumbed to severe chest injuries en route to hospital.
Fellow Kiwi Morgan McLaren-Wood sustained minor injuries, while several others were also hurt.
The event was cancelled following the crash, and an official investigation is underway involving racing authorities and local police.
