The attack in Dallas has led to fatalities and multiple injuries, according to officials.

A shooting at a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office in Dallas on Wednesday has left at least one person dead and several others injured from possible sniper fire, the Dallas Police Department has announced. The suspected shooter also died at the scene, according to police.

US Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin has told Fox News there were “three fatalities, potentially detainees,” in the shooting.

One of the victims and the suspected shooter died at the scene while two others were sent to hospital with gunshot wounds, the police statement added. ICE agents were also injured in the attack, according to reports.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said the suspect was apparently killed by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

“While we don’t know the motive yet, we know that our ICE law enforcement is facing unprecedented violence against them. It must stop,” Noem said on X.

The attack reportedly occurred as ICE officers were transferring detainees into the facility.

The I-35E highway, next to which the site is located, was closed in both directions, according to the media. The FBI is responding to the incident.

ICE has been the target of significant backlash in the US, particularly from the left, over its enforcement of the government policy of mass deportation of individuals believed to be illegal immigrants.

Critics say President Donald Trump’s administration is denying targeted people due process and otherwise violating human rights.

The political climate in the US has become increasingly charged. Earlier this month, conservative speaker Charlie Kirk was murdered by a sniper in what was broadly perceived as a significant turning point. Trump has accused the “radical left” of fanning tensions.

Vice President J.D. Vance said, “The obsessive attack on law enforcement, particularly ICE, must stop.” Meanwhile, Attorney General Ken Paxton said he was praying for the victims of “this heinous shooting” and vowed to act against “twisted individuals” targeting law enforcement.

  1. There have been documented cases where U.S. citizens were mistakenly detained or even deported by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), though these are considered rare and legally problematic.
ICE has no legal authority to deport U.S. citizens.
Deportation is reserved for non-citizens who violate immigration laws.
If a U.S. citizen is mistakenly detained or deported, it’s a constitutional violation — a breach of due process and civil rights.
    But Mistakes Have Happened
A Government Accountability Office (GAO) report found that between 2015 and 2020, ICE arrested 674 potential U.S. citizens, detained 121, and deported 70.
Advocacy groups say the real number may be higher due to poor record keeping and lack of internal safeguards.
    Recent cases include:
Two U.S. citizen children deported to Mexico with their undocumented mother.
Multiple citizens detained during raids, later released only after proving their status.
    Why Does This Happen?
Flawed databases: ICE sometimes relies on outdated or incomplete records.
Aggressive enforcement: Under current policies, mass raids and detentions have increased, raising the risk of wrongful actions.
Burden of proof: Detainees often must prove citizenship under stressful conditions, without immediate access to legal help.

    • Border states in America are overrun with illegal aliens who have spent decades bringing crime, murder and mayhem.

Previous successive democrat (AND republican) governments did nothing to stop, monitor or control it because they were all following the same “destroy western civilisation at all costs” paradigm we see playing out today in Europe.

Any chaos, confusion or anarchy happening today as the situation is rectified is the fault of those prior administrations who ABDICATED THEIR DUTY to the rightful citizens of their country.

  2. I relinquished US Citizenship when I became a Kiwi over 24 years ago post the orchestrated Israeli attack on 9/11.
American by Birth, Kiwi by the Grace of God!
And…I’ve never been back to the US, which is now an Israeli-trained Police State well on it’s way to Martial Law with the imposition of Talmudic-based Noahide Law.
2% of Jews make-up the US population, but yet the hold 78% of political power (via elections, and appointments) and 91% of the wealth.
Kiwis have experienced this Zionist due=process; a young Kiwi man shot to death in calling for help from his car, and recently a Kiwi Mum detained with her children due to a glitch in visa-type mix-ups which could have been solved in :10 minutes at the border!
There are other horror stories…and it’s important to remember that post 9/11, GWB commissioned the former head of the East German STASI to formulate the ‘Department of Homeland Security.
