Tauranga parking machines vandalised ahead of paid parking rollout

Tauranga parking machines news

Four parking machines in Tauranga have been vandalised in the past 10 days, with damage repairs expected to cost about $2,000 each.

Frustrated locals used hammers in an attempt to delay the introduction of paid parking in CBD fringe areas, set to begin Monday.

Tauranga City Council said the damage, which also affected machines on Dive Crescent and Devonport Road, would not halt the rollout, and alternative payment options like the PayMyPark app remain available.

  1. Yep yep yep, people had enough of the systemic extortion to feed the delusions of grandeur at the cuntsil.
The mini-kings and mini-queens in their pathetic new castle, spending half-a-million $$$ on coffee machines (yes you read that right!), kill the lifeblood of any city, and that is the traffic. Read up on Agenda 2030.
Maybe voters need to pay attention what scoundrels they elect next.
