Despite their struggles in attack, the Blues’ defense held firm against the Hurricanes’ persistent pressure, with crucial late tries from Sotutu and Mark Tele’a sealing the win. While the Hurricanes outplayed their opponents in possession, their inability to break the Blues’ defensive line, combined with costly penalties, saw them fall short despite 24 points from young first five-eighths Harry Godfrey.
