Lando Norris claimed victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix ahead of McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri, executing a bold one-stop strategy to cut Piastri’s championship lead to just nine points.

In a thrilling finish, Piastri closed a 12-second gap to 0.6 seconds but couldn’t overtake.

Kiwi driver Liam Lawson impressed again, holding off Max Verstappen to finish eighth and score points for the third time in four races, bringing his tally to 20—just two behind teammate Isack Hadjar.

George Russell finished third for Mercedes, while Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc dropped to fourth after a poor strategy and time penalty.
