Sea Eagles thrash Cowboys 42-12 in season opener

The Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles launched their 2025 NRL season in emphatic fashion, thrashing the North Queensland Cowboys 42-12 at 4 Pines Park.

Haumole Olakau’atu set the tone with an early try, sparking a relentless seven-try blitz. Jason Saab, Ben Trbojevic, Ethan Bullemor, Toff Sipley, Reuben Garrick, and Daly Cherry-Evans all crossed the line, with Tom Trbojevic orchestrating much of the attacking brilliance.

Manly led 24-0 at halftime and continued their dominance in the second half, showcasing both offensive flair and defensive grit. While the Cowboys salvaged late consolation tries, the Sea Eagles’ electrifying performance thrilled their sellout home crowd as they look forward to an away game against the Warriors next Friday.
