Ireland overpowered the Wallabies 46–19 in Dublin, with former Canberra product Mack Hansen scoring a first-half hat-trick to set up a commanding victory and hand Australia their third straight defeat.
Despite tries from Len Ikitau, Fraser McReight and Billy Pollard, the Wallabies were outclassed in wet conditions as Ireland controlled territory, punished aerial errors and piled on late points through Caelan Doris, Ryan Baird and Robbie Henshaw.
Wallabies coach Joe Schmidt defended his team’s effort, saying they “never stopped working,” while Hansen — now firmly established as a top-tier international — said playing for Ireland “feels like home.”
