The US president is not being briefed properly about the ongoing situation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said.
US President Donald Trump is being misled about the Ukraine conflict by those pushing Washington toward supporting the Kiev regime and taking a more aggressive stance on Russia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said.
Lavrov’s remark on Wednesday followed in response to Trump’s latest criticism of Moscow. The US president rebuked Russia twice this week over strikes on Ukraine, claiming that President Vladimir Putin had “gone absolutely crazy” and was launching “missiles and drones into cities in Ukraine for no reason whatsoever.” Trump later warned that the Russian leader was “playing with fire.”
Responding to a question from journalist Pavel Zarubin, Lavrov said: “One thing is clear – Donald Trump and those who actually make decisions regarding the Ukraine conflict in particular, are not being told everything.”
“The information he [Trump] is given is filtered through a sieve, which is prepared by those who want to draw America into more aggressive action against Russia, in support of the Kiev regime,” Lavrov added.
According to Russia’s top diplomat, Moscow will try “to correct” the problem of information not reaching Trump.
Ukraine has drastically ramped up drone strikes deep into Russia in recent weeks in what Moscow says is an effort to derail the ongoing peace process. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, more than 2,300 Ukrainian drones have been intercepted over the past week, mostly away from the front line. On Wednesday, Ukraine also launched a drone raid on Moscow and its suburbs, with a total of 42 UAVs taken down. The assault resulted in damage to residential buildings but no casualties were reported.
In retaliation, Moscow carried out a series of high-precision strikes across Ukraine, targeting drone production sites, warehouses, airfields, radar stations and ammunition depots. Russian officials have consistently stated that such attacks never target civilians.
In recent days, Trump has increasingly criticized the Kremlin over what he perceives as a lack of progress in peace negotiations between Moscow and Kiev.
Last week, Trump and Putin held a telephone conversation during which they discussed the prospects of a peaceful resolution to the Ukraine conflict. Both leaders characterized the call as productive.
Filtered information? I doubt it. The Russians continue to pander to Trump’s ego by making excuses for him in pretending he wasn’t properly briefed. While the Russians know very well that Trump remains a disingenuous liar.
Trump knows that Ukraine’s drone attacks against Russia are facilitated by US intelligence. Trump threatened to wipe off the face of the earth any country which threatened to assassinate him but is quite happy for US intelligence to facilitate Ukraine’s attempted assassination of Putin. Is Trump really so stupid that he is unaware of his own hypocrisy?
The CIA built over 20 bases in Ukraine during Trump’s first term as president – these bases were built for covert operations against the Russians. Zelensky ramped up the shelling of the Donbass in 2019 – and Trump did nothing about it while president of the USA. Donald Trump advanced Ukraine’s proxy war against Russia and continued the same anti-Russian warmongering begun by Obama and continued by Trump (in his first term) then by Biden while now pretending it was never his war. Trump probably realised last year that NATO is losing and desperately seeks to save face by pretending he never wanted the war. But his own dishonesty ensures he can’t escape responsibility because his lies are obvious.
Trump rants that Putin is killing civilians while Trump himself was killing civilians in Yemen recently while pretending to hit Houthi military targets – total nonsense as the Houthi have since ramped up their bombardment and expanded their air-blockade of Israel to now include Haifa port as well as that airport. Trump made the same threats against Iran but stepped back after capitulating to the Houthi and withdrawing the USS Harry Truman before the Houthi sank it.

Establish hotlines with Putin, Lavrov & Medvedev, and get up to date global and political information from these well-established and respected Statesmen!
Trump needs to check his attitude and outbursts which are vents from his frustration with the entire D.C. scene!
Most of all, he needs to renounce Judaism, Zionism, and get the J3w$ who infest his Cabinet and key government positions OUT of office due to their adherence with the Talmud, Noahide Law, and outdated Torah ‘teachiings and instructions.
Most of all, he needs to STOP sending weapons, money, and support to Israel and Khazarian J3wi$h Ukraine!.
Getting OUT of Europe, Africa, and parts of Asia would serve the American People well, allowing for focus on local defence, and using the money that would otherwise be spent to maintain the bases there on U.S. soil, ie bridge repairs, fully-stocked nuclear shelters for the population, and Covid vaccine-reversal meds for eliminating the deadly effects of the un-tested bio-weapon Covid vaccines and boosters!.
