Mexico has agreed to send 10,000 troops to its northern border in exchange for a one-month pause on tariffs threatened by former U.S. President Donald Trump, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced.
The two leaders held a “friendly” conversation, agreeing that Mexico will take stronger action against drug trafficking while the U.S. will work to curb firearm smuggling into Mexico.
Trump confirmed the deal on Truth Social, which is focused on efforts to stop fentanyl and illegal migration.
Talks on broader trade and security matters are set to begin, led by high-ranking officials from both nations. Meanwhile, Trump’s tariffs on Canada and China remain in place, with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau urging citizens to support domestic products in response.
True leadership.
10,000 Mexican Troops to the Border; a gesture made from one J3wi$h President to another J3wi$h President.
BTW, this is the first time Mexico has had a J3wi$h President. A coincidence? Probably not…
Could a war of attention deflection be getting ready to go full hot (as it already has with U.S. Border Patrol and hikers being fired on by cartel coyotes..) ? Here’s one take on the scene;

Maybe this should have been a starting point rather than economic threats? Or is that part of the strategy? Not sure its a wise one, if it is…..
