Pams Tempura Coated Chicken Nuggets are being urgently recalled due to concerns they may contain small pieces of blue rubber.
Foodstuffs Own Brands has issued the recall, warning consumers not to eat the affected 1kg bags with a best-before date of October 16, 2025.
The nuggets were sold at Four Square, Gilmours, New World, Pak’nSave, and Social Supermarket stores nationwide.
New Zealand Food Safety deputy director-general Vincent Arbuckle advised customers to return the product for a refund or dispose of it if returning is not possible.
The contamination concern arose following a customer complaint, prompting the removal of the affected batch from store shelves. Authorities are now investigating the issue to prevent future occurrences.
