An Auckland man in his 30s has appeared at the Manukau District Court, accused of murdering a young child whose body was found in a car outside the Manukau Police Station early Monday.
The accused, who arrived at the station around 1 a.m. and spoke to officers, led police to the vehicle containing the child’s body. Court documents allege the child was killed in East Tamaki on Sunday.
The defendant, known to the victim’s family but with a different surname, was granted interim name suppression alongside the suppression of the child’s identity and cause of death due to concerns “for his safety”, according to a report in legacy media.
He was remanded him in custody until his next hearing at the Auckland High Court. Media requests to film him were declined.
Police have launched further investigations, including a post-mortem, and Victim Support is assisting the child’s family.
Name suppression and suppression of all information for the murderous piece of filth’s “safety”.
What the absolute hell is wrong with this country 😑
Hell has sent its agents.
