Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, the nation’s 39th president and longest-lived at 100, passed away peacefully at his home in Plains, Georgia, on Sunday, his foundation announced.
Remembered for his dedication to peace, human rights, and selfless service, his son called him “a hero” and tributes poured in from leaders, including President Joe Biden, who praised Carter’s “principle, faith, and humility,” and former President Bill Clinton, who highlighted his lifelong commitment to serving others.
President-elect Donald Trump said, “The challenges Jimmy faced as President came at a pivotal time for our country and he did everything in his power to improve the lives of all Americans. For that, we all owe him a debt of gratitude.”
After a term in office from 1977 to 1981, Carter’s later years were marked by health challenges, including melanoma that spread to his liver and brain, and he had been under hospice care since last year.

Terrible president.
Total idiot.
BUT
Didn’t receive any mystery blackmail envelope at the Bush funeral (like all the others did), therefore leaving me to conclude he was most likely an honest man.
I thought he died a couple of years ago. He was the peanut farmer. You’re right, he was a twit. Probably very honest though.
And he lived a long time!
