The coalition Government has launched a comprehensive Climate Strategy, aimed at mitigating the impacts of alleged ‘climate change’ and preparing for future effects, according to Climate Change Minister Simon Watts.
The strategy is structured around five core pillars: resilient infrastructure and prepared communities, credible markets supporting the climate transition, abundant and affordable clean energy, world-leading climate innovation boosting the economy, and nature-based solutions addressing climate change.
Watts drew attention to the immediate and tangible effects of climate change on households, businesses, and the economy, noting the disruption caused by severe weather events to infrastructure and supply chains.
In line with its climate change goals, the Government is also preparing to consult on the ‘Emissions Reduction Plan’ for 2026-2030. The plan will outline policy proposals across the five pillars and focus on reducing emissions from the largest contributing sectors: energy, transport, agriculture, and waste.
In a press release Watts reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to meeting its climate targets, emphasising the importance of reducing net emissions as a key objective.

Back then it was called global warming and when the brought and paid for scientists could not make the facts fit the agenda all those E-mails leaked and we had what was know as climategate , that was when they decided to call it climate change instead. An incredibly vague term that can mean what ever the u.n. and all the other globalist groups and individuals say it means at any given time even if it contradicts what they said yesterday. Are Kiwis now beginning to realize they should never again vote for any of the mainstream political parties ever. . labour, national, the greenies it makes no difference all they do is push the globalist agenda.
