  1. Attention Fonterra;
    There have been MANY times when I have see milk tanker big rigs come sailing around tight curves on roads that are especially hazardous to liquid haulers.
    Even tho’ the actual tank trailers are of oval shape and low profile in comparison to the ’roundies’, the liquid will still g-force and gravitate to one side of the tank opposite of the turn being executed.
    What does this mean?
    It means that once the irreversable pile-up of liquid to one side of the tank lifts the trailer wheels off the road on the opposite side, anything past seven (7) degrees from dead center line of the trailer IS GOING TO MIGRATE OVER EVEN MORE TO THE SIDE WHERE THE LIQUID IS MOVING, AND TRANSITION THE TRAILER ONTO IT’S SIDE!!!
    Once past seven (7) degrees, the roll-over cannot be stopped.
    Fonterra drivers, while on a schedule with milking times, need to slow down on the curves and tight corners.
    Fonterra Management needs to understand this, and perhaps reschedule additional vehicles and drivers to insure safe handling of the product on road where drivers are not rushed or put into jeopardy with fines for driving past legal hours.
    The Tongariro portion of the Desert Road and Ruapehu Drive in Palmy North are areas where we have see trailer wheels come off the ground, and remain there for 2-4 seconds until the liquid in the trailer settles back to the center of gravity center line.
    Also, Fonterra needs to stop dumping milk in our neighbourhood drains…
