Police updates on crimes and investigation for the afternoon of 4 October 2022.
Name Release – Fatal crash, SH3 Tariki
Police can confirm a third person has died following a crash on SH 3, Tariki which happened on Friday 9 September.
John Podjursky, aged 89, had been transported to hospital in a critical condition and passed away on Wednesday 28 September.
Two other people in the crash died at the time.
An investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
Police seek missing Whangārei man
Police are asking the community’s help to locate 79-year-old Neville Hargreaves, who has been reported missing from Morningside in the Whangārei District.
Neville was last seen at his Morningside Road address on the night of Monday, 3 October.
He may be wearing a blue polo shirt and trousers.
