Australia’s National Basketball League (NBL) has banned one fan for life and another for 10 years following a courtside altercation with Adelaide 36ers players Montrezl Harrell and Kendric Davis during a game against Melbourne United.
The scuffle, sparked by an on-court clash between players, led to suspensions for Harrell and Davis, while the NBL’s Integrity Department concluded its investigation into the incident.
NBL CEO David Stevenson said the league was committed to maintaining a family-friendly and safe environment, lauding swift intervention by club officials.
Melbourne United’s leadership echoed support for the sanctions, reinforcing the importance of fan conduct in preserving the sport’s inclusive and welcoming atmosphere.
