Canberra Raiders players Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies have apologised after being briefly removed from a Las Vegas hotel following a scuffle last week.
The altercation, which occurred after a night out and a hotel room mix-up, involved security intervening but was later resolved internally by the club.
Young clarified that a toy baseball bat seen in the elevator played no role in the incident.
Despite being sanctioned by the Raiders, neither player will be stood down for the upcoming game against the Warriors.
Both players confirmed their close friendship and were said to be embarrassment over the situation, with Young particularly apologising to the NRL and his family.
