A man identified by neighbours as Will Rothschild, reportedly of the wealthy Rothschild banking family, died in a house fire at his Hollywood Hills home on Wednesday.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze within 33 minutes after responding to the Lookout Mountain Avenue property, but the victim was found deceased inside.
Known as an eccentric and reclusive millionaire, Rothschild owned multiple properties and luxury cars but maintained a low profile in the exclusive neighbourhood.
The cause of the fire and his death remain under investigation, leaving neighbours mourning the loss of a figure some described as a “kind and private” individual.
