World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was hospitalised in Rio de Janeiro during the G20 summit after experiencing symptoms of labyrinthitis and a hypertensive crisis.
The 59-year-old underwent tests confirming no major health issues and was treated for high blood pressure before being discharged the next morning. The controversial WHO boss has a history of hypertension.
According to Breitbart he had complained of feeling unwell earlier in the week.
I’m so happy I made it home just in time to see my daughter Blen before she travels for her football competition abroad. I feel much healthier now!
Thank you all for your kind words during my brief recovery. 🙏 pic.twitter.com/Ijk9TFWaWk
