Independent journalist Chantelle Baker made the offer today in an interview with Sean Plunkett of The Platform.
Penfold is the main author of legacy MSM outlet Stuff.co.nz’s series ‘Fire and Fury‘ – an investigation into ‘disinformation’ in New Zealand.
Baker featured prominently in the state-funded ‘hitpiece’.
In a wide-ranging interview, Baker described events on the last day of the Parliament Protest, her response to ‘Fire and Fury’, and touched on her personal beliefs.
Baker also stated that it was her opinion the hitpiece breached a number of Media Council guidelines and confirmed that she was seeking legal advice over whether it was defamatory.
The discussion turned to Penfold around 23 minutes into the interview when Plunkett remarked that he ‘would love’ to see Baker sit down with Penfold.
‘You’re saying you would be happy to be interviewed by Paula Penfold?’
‘I’d love Paula Penfold to come on my podcast actually, and we’ll have a proper discussion, because this is one thing that has been such a degradation of society in New Zealand, where we can no longer have constructive conversations with people we disagree with.’

STUFF uses the Guardian’s playbook to smear. You will be suprised to see how similar the smear techniques are in these two cases.

I very much doubt it will happen, Paula Penfold will be far too frightened about being exposed as a pro-government propagandist.
Smear tactics and character assassination are the preferred weapons of the MSM.
These ‘journalists’ won’t ever engage in an actual debate about the real issues, they are simply paid to reinforce the government’s propaganda upon which their salaries and careers depend.
Embarrassing for them really. Many New Zealanders are waking up to them now. I saw a clip on Twitter that was taken from the project on TV3 where they are all discussing why everyone around them seems to be more sick this year. They still haven’t worked out why! Hilarious! There is a whole 0% chance that NPC lady accepts the invitation. These people are utterly terrified of open debate, they tuck tail and flee at the very suggestion because they damn well know they’re lying, they know damn well their ideas are ludicrous and irrational, they know damn well they will LOSE said debate every time.
Not only are they frauds, they’re also absolute cowards. This is the caliber of person the modern school/University culture of safe spaces, diversity, inclusion etc produces.

Can anyone of these media mercenaries survive as an “independent” jounalist on YouTube/Rumble? They will hardly get any viewership and cannot self-fund at all. Propagandists need dollars from Govrnment and Big Corps. In the absencxe of their own standing, these mercenaries are simply parts of the cog wheel that spins lies and false narratives to the public.
STUFF & other MSM rarely allows readers to comment. Why? They dont want to be exposed.
When there are only narratives based on partial facts and opinions, and not full facts, disinformation is dependent on the set narrative rather than full facts. If readers are not allowed to debate a narrative, it is simply a propaganda.
It is just commonsense to get a response from someone who is accused in an article before its publication and present their response in full. There is no such decency or work ethics from propagandists. Often such propagandists are sadists, and/or obsessed/depressed psychopaths with many vices not living a “normal” life.
One thing most Stuff readers have not come to terms with, or understand, is that many so-called investigative reporters are not the same as you or I. This is not, and not meant to be a derogatory statement, but fact. To do what the current phalanx of Stuff writers do, like the ones targeting VFF and similar, requires a certain type of spirit. It is not like the spirit that most people carry, but a spirit of Judgement: If they did not have such a spirit they could not do their work. It’s as simple as that.
There is no such thing as compromise or being open to another point of view with this spirit, it is focused and dedicated to the task at hand, no matter the obstacles, no matter the consequences, no matter the hurt it causes. It is bloodymindedness in its purest form to the point of self-destruction.
This is what good people deal with when confronted by the “investigating spirit” come to rip and tear in the guise of a Stuff reporter.
They are without pity or shred of humanity.
They are soulless. They are the walking Dead.
