A British tourist has faced widespread criticism after posting a TikTok video complaining about drink prices and refreshments at a café near the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum in Poland.
The woman, identified as Lynne, appeared alongside her daughter as they criticised a watered-down smoothie, the lack of decaf coffee and alternative milk, the taste of lemonade and the £9 cost of two drinks.
The video attracted millions of views before her account was made private, with commenters describing the complaints as insensitive.
Lynne later defended herself by arguing that the independently operated café was separate from the memorial and questioning why refreshments were sold there at all.
