Update: Serious crash, SH 1, Mount Pleasant
One person has died following a crash on State Highway 1 at Mount Pleasant, south of Picton, last night.
The crash, involving two cars, was reported to Police at around 9pm yesterday.
The road was closed while the Serious Crash Unit examined the crash scene.
The road has now reopened.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
Motorcyclist injured in 23 October crash dies – Stoke, Nelson
A motorcyclist seriously injured in a crash in Stoke, Nelson on 23 October has died.
The motorcyclist collided with a lamp post on Kotua Place at around 10.35am on 23 October.
He was transported to hospital with serious injuries and passed away on 10 November.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
Fatal crash, Ashburton
Police can now advise that one person has died following a crash on Rakaia Highway, Ashburton this morning.
The person sadly passed away at the scene.
‘Our thoughts are with their family at this difficult time,’ said police in a statement.
The Serious Crash Unit is attending the scene and an investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
