The case involving the disappearance and subsequent murder of TV presenter Jesse Baird and his flight attendant boyfriend Luke Davies has gripped Australia.
Their bodies were discovered in surf bags at a rural property 180km south of Sydney.
NSW Police senior constable Beau Lamarre-Condon is alleged to have murdered the couple at Baird’s home in Sydney’s east and has been charged, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
After a period of investigation and an initial unsuccessful search, Lamarre-Condon directed the police to the location of the bodies, which were found 20 minutes away from an earlier search area in Bungonia.
The discovery followed intensive efforts by the police, who had been searching tirelessly since the alarm was raised. Despite the initial frustration from a fruitless search, the police were determined and eventually located the bodies, providing a significant breakthrough in the case.
NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb confirmed the discovery and informed the families of Baird and Davies.
Lamarre-Condon actions display a degree of premeditation, having rented a van and purchased tools and weights used in the disposal of the bodies. Following the murder, he allegedly made several trips to dispose of and possibly relocate the bodies to evade detection. The police investigation also extended to other locations, including Grays Point and the Royal National Park looking for more evidence of the crime.
Details emerged about Lamarre-Condon’s actions and his relationship with Baird at a police press conference this afternoon. Contrary to speculation, friends of Baird clarified that Lamarre-Condon was not Baird’s boyfriend but had an unreciprocated interest in Baird, leading to a strained relationship.
Just awful. The old “if I can’t have him nobody can”.
Unnecessary loss of two lovely people.
There’s really some crazy messed up people out there.
I don’t like cops after what happened during CONVID. This doesn’t exactly enhance my view of them…..
Bottom feeders
