Authorities have charged two police officers, one current and one former, with attempting to obstruct justice related to events in September 2013.
The charges were filed following accusations of them trying to pervert the course of justice during an investigation over a decade ago. One is in his 40s and the other in his 50s.
Both pleaded not guilty in the Auckland District Court today.
They have been granted interim name suppression. Additional suppression orders are in place that restrict the release of further information to the public at this point.
