Severe storm leaves thousands without power across upper North Island

Auckland storm news

A powerful storm overnight swept through the upper North Island, causing significant disruptions and leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.

Auckland and Hamilton were particularly hard hit, with numerous trees felled by high winds, damaging homes, power lines, and obstructing roads. Fire and Emergency services were inundated with around 200 calls, primarily related to these incidents. Many areas, including Waitākere, Kaipara Harbour, and parts of Waiheke, experienced widespread power outages, affecting thousands of households.

Residents are faced with a substantial cleanup effort, and many are still without electricity this morning as repair crews continue to work tirelessly to restore power.

Public safety was compromised as fences and trampolines were sent airborne, and roof materials were dislodged. Two individuals in Papatoetoe sustained injuries due to shattered glass.

The severe weather conditions also led to the grounding of flights, stranding passengers, and even resulted in lightning strikes on three airplanes. The Auckland Harbour Bridge was closed due to dangerously high winds, forcing motorists to seek alternate routes.

MetService has lifted severe weather warnings, though gusty conditions are expected to persist.

  1. Well… We had a massive chemdump on Monday and weather events normally follow these chemical dumps.
Chem dumping then the scalar clouds.
How much longer will people believe this contrail gaslighting lie?
How many more tonnes of toxic chemicals will be dumped into the skies over OUR country?

  2. How long until the government declares it a disaster area and strong arms all the land away from them?

Not like there isn’t (recent) precedent 🤷🏼‍♂️
