Nicola Willis’s inaugural budget has been criticised by the Taxpayers’ Union, which has labelled it “The Mother of All Disappointments,” accusing it of failing to meet the National Party’s election promises on fiscal responsibility.
In a statement on the Union’s website today, the budget disappoints on several fronts: it only provides a tax relief of $24.89 weekly to the average worker, which is just half of the necessary adjustment to counteract 14 years of inflation and merely reverses the fiscal drag of the last three years. Instead of reducing government size to pre-Covid levels, the 2024 budget actually increases spending by $13.9 billion more than last year’s budget under Grant Robertson, continuing the trend of significant government spending.
Furthermore, the budget fails to achieve a balanced book, with the surplus goal now pushed back by an additional year, and the upcoming year’s deficit projected to be larger than the current one, accelerating national debt rather than curbing it.
The Taxpayers’ Union also highlighted a missed opportunity to adequately address the resizing of the public service, suggesting that government spending as a percentage of GDP will remain higher than during Robertson’s tenure through 2038.
According to the Union, this budget locks in an enlarged state sector and increases New Zealand’s debt burden, which is anticipated to lead to higher taxes to cover debt servicing costs, equating those costs to the combined annual spending on primary and secondary education and justice.
What did you expect?
Yes, it’s almost as if the major political parties all work for the same people and follow the same agenda and it doesn’t matter who you vote for.
Almost.
This is / was a ‘budget’ based on political self-delusions by the WEF-based and directed ‘Coalition Government’. I noted that Winston had very little to say in speaking out about the GRI cost of living rise, which was disgusting little and hasn’t changed in many years in cost-of-living inflationary adjustments!
As a nasty and grumpy old Pakeha, I’m glad and happy that the Maori staged a nationwide Hikoi to protest the NWO-based applications of the so-called ‘budget’ and the ‘right to protest’ under NZ Law that Luxon said was illegal. Luxon’s comments proves that we have a NWO-based charlatan doing the bidding of the Globalists.
These types of ‘budgets’, ‘policies’ and the rancor that the Wasp Nest has towards the struggling middle class and the disenfranchised lower class is perfectly in keeping with the WEF, plus the Deagel Forecast for 2025 by lowering the Kiwi populations via hyper-inflation, mal-nourishment due to the un-affordability of food, eventual Gaza-like starvation due to destroyed and ‘illegal’ food production along with the with-holding of medical care via post-Covid health services re-structuring where needed drugs and medications are now unaffordable and / or illegal to import on an individual’s basis.
Watch for the next round of ‘vaccines’ via the ‘Bird Flu’ Plandemic.
When we all refuse to buy the Zio-Globalist bullshit, that is when the devious WHO Plandemic Agreement will see UN Troops here going door-to-door, but only for a short time, as the Pakeha and Maori Veterans, along with the Bikie Gangs will rise up and send the WHO-sponsored terrorist packing and on their way out of NZ!
We need our MSSA Firearms returned to us, and this nation needs to be a Neutral Nation similar to Switzerland.
I doubt that we’ll see any snap elections between now and 2027 as a result of being pimped-out to the WEF, WHO and Zio-Globalist NWO.
Next time around NZ, vote for the NZ Loyal Party!
Yeah, but if you look into it, Switzerland isn’t exactly a neutral nation
Nanny state in jackboots. Large and controlling. This is what happens when you vote for globalists again….
