Authorities are on the lookout for three young males following a violent confrontation at an Adelaide shopping centre, which resulted in a lockdown and a substantial emergency response.
The disturbance erupted shortly before 3 PM on Sunday when the trio reportedly confronted another group of boys at the Westfield Marion food court, brandishing “expandable batons.”
Assistant Commissioner Scott Duval of the South Australian Police told legacy media a skirmish broke out, and there were reports of a knife being involved.
The violence prompted Westfield Marion to initiate its emergency lockdown and evacuation protocols, causing alarms to sound and major stores to secure their entrances to protect shoppers.
Throughout the afternoon heavily armed tactical units combed the centre in search of the suspects.
Assistant Commissioner Duval mentioned that while the boys had not yet been apprehended, he remained confident they would be located.
Australia used to be a nice safe country, now I see its safety rating has plummeted……violent crime is on the rise there….will we be next?
