President Biden has formally endorsed his VP to become the Democratic nominee.
US President Joe Biden has offered his “full support and endorsement” to Vice President Kamala Harris to be picked as the Democratic Party nominee for the upcoming elections. The president proclaimed his support on X (formerly Twitter), shortly after announcing the decision to drop out of the race.
Reiterating his decision “not to accept the nomination” and to focus all his “energies” on his presidential duties, Biden said picking Harris as his VP was the “best decision” he made.
“Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats – it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this,” Biden wrote.

Dropped out or drop kicked?
There are some states where Biden is on the ballot and cannot be removed for another nominee unless he dies. So, what now? Will the Dems accept the, by default, loss of a number of states or will Biden die between now and November?
I also wonder if Kamala is the nominee and then she selects Hillary Clinton as VP. Then, something will happen to Kamala (blackmail?) and Hillary will be the Presidential candidate and we will have a repeat of 2016.
It’s only July and we’ve seen an assassination attempt and a sitting President pull out of the race. What will happen in the next 3 months I wonder?
