Te Pāti Māori has announced a boycott of legacy media outlet the New Zealand Herald following the newspaper’s decision to run a front-page advertisement for Hobson’s Pledge, a lobby group led by Don Brash.
The party has called for an apology, a review of standards, and plans to lodge a complaint with the Broadcasting Standards Authority. The advert, which appeared on August 7, advocated for the restoration of the foreshore and seabed to public ownership, a stance aligned with Hobson’s Pledge’s commitment to preserving equal rights for all New Zealanders.
Hobson’s Pledge is a group known for its advocacy of equality under the law and freedom of speech, while Te Pāti Māori have levelled accusations of the Herald being “bought off” by an “anti-Māori collective.”
Restoring the foreshore and seabed to public ownership is now anti…….so who owns it now please? Do we have proof of ownership? Does the same owner also own the Earth

So given TPM receive it’s money from the taxpayer and given that it’s intent is tribal rule visa a vie brown elite, I personally couldn’t give a rats fat if they boycott herald, parliament or indeed anything. This might be the first democratic move by the herald in several years. It’s not nearly enough to make me visit nzheralds treacherous propaganda channel but man, they must be on deaths doorstep to take money from a free speech advocate like Hobson’s Pledge. This is saying to the Editor: when corrupt brownies get back into power (legally or otherwise) utu will be served upon you.
