The One New Zealand Warriors will host the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs in an emotionally charged final game of the NRL season at the temporarily renamed ‘Shaun Johnson Stadium’.
The match marks the farewell of club legend Shaun Johnson, who will play his last home game after a 14-season career, alongside teammates Jazz Tevaga and Addin Fonua-Blake, who are also departing the club.
Johnson, who made his NRL debut in 2011, will be honorued with video tributes and a special entrance, celebrating his 223rd and final game for the Auckland club.
The evening is set to be a memorable send-off for the players, with post-match acknowledgments and a night dedicated to thanking the Warriors’ members and fans, who have supported the team throughout the season. The event will also feature a doubleheader, with the fourth-placed Warriors facing the fifth-placed Bulldogs in the open-age grade New South Wales Cup.
