Mark Hoyle, the influencer behind ‘LadBaby’, has addressed groping allegations from 2022 for the first time, when he was accused of inappropriate behaviour at a Nottingham nightclub.
A short video of the incident, allegedly showing him hugging and rubbing up against a woman, was circulated online after an attempted blackmail for £10,000.
Hoyles and his wife Roxanne initially dismissed the blackmail as a hoax, but were later floored when the video surfaced widely on social media. Though the video was removed from TikTok for content violations, the couple faced intense online backlash, despite a source confirming that the person in the video was not Mark.
LadBaby, originally a lighthearted YouTube channel producing humorous, charity-oriented songs, has gained unexpected fame with five consecutive Christmas number-one singles from 2018 to 2022.
The Hoyles also faced accusations of misusing charity funds, alongside threats that required police intervention and anti-terror police support due to their seriousness.
In their new memoir, Our LadBaby Journey: Success, Sacrifice, and Sausage Rolls the couple details the toll of fame and online harassment, sharing how they’ve relied on each other to overcome both personal and public challenges.
