Prince Harry tackled ongoing speculation about his marriage to Meghan Markle during the New York Times Dealbook Summit 2024.
Speaking with columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin, Harry dismissed rumours of divorce, humourously noting exaggerated claims of their relationship woes, such as “divorcing 10 or 12 times.” He callied out the negative impact of relentless media interest.
Meghan, absent from the event, remained in California, sparking further chatter about their decision to attend events separately. Harry shrugged off concerns, explaining that his presence in New York was due to an invitation from Sorkin.
The Duke also reflected on the challenges of living under constant scrutiny, admitting the relentless gossip is “definitely not a good thing.” While royal commentators speculate about a potential “professional divorce” as the couple increasingly pursues independent projects, Harry highlighted their focus on ignoring “baseless claims” and moving forward. The Duke and Duchess, who stepped down from senior royal duties in 2020, are expected to reunite at an event honouring American actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry in Los Angeles, signaling their continued partnership both personally and professionally.
Oh dear Harry should have stuck with an English girl…..
Maybe a young Philippina next time 🤔
