Kane ready for Bayern contract talks

Harry Kane says he is prepared to open negotiations with Bayern Munich over a new contract as he enters the final year of his current deal.

The 33-year-old England captain enjoyed another prolific campaign, scoring 61 goals in 51 matches as Bayern secured a league and cup double, taking his Bundesliga-era tally to 98 goals in 94 appearances and earning a third consecutive Golden Boot.

Kane also scored six times at the 2026 World Cup to become England’s record scorer at the tournament with 14 goals.

While considered a leading contender for the 2026 Ballon d’Or, Kane said his attention remains on the new season, with contract discussions expected to begin within the next week or two.
