A Belgian court in the region of Wallonia has ruled that COVID passes are illegal, by default.
According to the judgment, as reported in aa.com, rules requiring everyone to show their CST before entering cafés, restaurants, gyms and cultural venues were curbing individual freedoms in a disproportionate way which does not serve the goal they pursue.
According to the judgment local authorities were to be fined US$5,658 per day until the measure was repealed.
The court made the ruling in the absence of government authorities, who did not turn up to court apparently because a series of public holidays meant no one had dealt with the file.
