Rapper A$AP Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, is on trial for allegedly firing a gun at former friend and fellow artist Terell Ephron in a 2021 incident near a Hollywood hotel.
Accused of two felony assault charges, the Grammy-nominated artist denies the allegations, claiming the weapon involved was a “prop gun.”
Ephron, who sustained a minor injury, reported the incident days later and presented shell casings he claimed to have found at the scene.
The trial, expected to last three weeks, occurs as the rapper juggles a high-profile personal and professional life, including his partnership with Rihanna and upcoming projects like co-chairing the 2025 Met Gala. If convicted, Mayers faces up to 24 years in prison.
