Former local councillor Robert De Jonge was involved in a chaotic scene outside Christies Beach Magistrates Court in Adelaide, following allegations of stalking.
De Jonge, previously a member of the City of Onkaparinga, faces six charges of aggravated stalking, including accusations of using a tracking device and leaving notes on a woman’s car.
During his court appearance on Tuesday De Jonge was pursued outside the courthouse, marking the second time in recent months he has been involved in a public chase, following a previous incident with a TV journalist.
When asked by a news reporter if he would contest the charges, De Jonge confidently responded, “Of course. I haven’t done anything wrong.”
The tense exchange outside the court continued as De Jonge engaged with a man in a black singlet in a bizarre foot chase through the carpark.

Run rabbit run!!
Glimpse of the future.
Classic!
Maybe the Beehive should introduce seminars for sprinting and hiding. and add sneakers to the dress code.
And for returning politicians, a special lane at ‘Arrivals’ marked ‘Gauntlet’.
