DTNZ is also committed to transparency. As a not-for-profit news organisation, full financial information and accounts will be published on our website at the end of each financial year so readers and donors can see where funds and revenue has been spent.

Unlike legacy mainstream media organisations who tout themselves as “independent”, surplus funds and profits are not used to line the pockets of shareholders and management, but are re-invested back into the business to fund more independent journalism or other essential services, such as IT and server needs.
