Auckland’s Eden Fest has come under fire from frustrated festivalgoers after multiple headline acts, including Miguel and Busta Rhymes, pulled out of the event.
Attendees are demanding refunds, with many expressing outrage at the lack of official communication regarding lineup changes.
British rapper Yung Filly, who was also set to perform, was removed from the lineup after being charged with rape and sexual assault during his Australian tour. Fans, some of whom travelled long distances, claim they were left in the dark about the cancellations and struggled to contact organisers, leading to mounting frustration.
Ticket holders, who paid between $178 and $269 for the event, voiced their disappointment on social media, with many feeling the festival no longer offered the value they had paid for.
Despite their attempts to seek refunds, commenters reported that their concerns were being ignored or removed from the festival’s social media pages. Eden Fest and its presenting partner Mai FM have yet to respond publicly to the complaints, further fueling the discontent among attendees.
