The Government has commissioned a review of New Zealand’s weather forecasting system, State Owned Enterprises Minister Duncan Webb says.
“MetService and NIWA have capability critical to the delivery of aspects of weather forecasting in New Zealand.
“As the impacts of climate change become more frequent, we must ensure our weather forecasting system is cohesive,” Webb said.
The weather forecasting review will inform the best approach to improving the system, focusing on the future needs, better integration across the forecasting system and relevant trends within the context of climate change.
“MetService and NIWA are critical agencies when it comes to responding to weather events caused by climate change.
“A connected weather forecasting system that is integrated with our understanding of flooding impacts on communities and our nation’s infrastructure is essential.
“Our systems should reflect the interrelationship between climate science, forecasting, hydrology, and coastal hazards to help us better plan for, and respond to weather events,” Duncan Webb said.
The review will be led by the Treasury and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, and will commence in September 2023.
The review’s final report is anticipated to be with the Government in February 2024.
Don’t bother, we know they are manipulating the weather.. how can anyone give an accurate forecast when we have people over in Australia creating rain that ends up being dumped on us. Furthermore we have Bill Gates blocking the sun and the Whitehouse recently passed law enabling more of this. There is no such thing as Climate change and any obscure patterns of weather are being deliberately created by those pushing the fake climate change agenda. FOLLOW THE MONEY.
Apparently there’s a climate change conference in Rotorua at the moment – this according to a woman I met who flew up from Wanaka to attend it……can’t she see the irony of people (including herself) flying to a climate change conference? I can’t stand hypocrisy.

Like the BBC lamenting England’s highest temperature ever on record, only to confirm a few days later that they’d recorded it on the asphalt of an airport runway in summer while jumbo jets were landing and taking off.

Like so many other weather reports on overseas channels, our weather report will include reports of droughts, floods and weather phenomena WHICH ALWAYS happened on earth. Where do you think valleys and flat agaric lands come from?

Why do we need accurate forecasts for climate change when climate change does not exist. Sounds like this will end as two weather organisations becoming the weather of truth for our corrupt government.

Does this mean that they want to integrate propaganda and an agenda into the weather systems so every time it gets colder and every time it gets hotter, it must be “climate change” and it’s our fault?
Every six months it gets hotter, and it’s called Summer. Then six months later it gets colder, and it’s called Winter.
The biggest difference to any “climate change” on Earth is the Sun. Secondary to that is heat coming from the Earth’s mantle. The clouds actually form a self-regulating system (a closed loop feedback system) that regulates the temperature. When it gets hotter there is more evaporation which forms clouds. Clouds reflect more of the Sun’s heat back into space, so it gets colder again. This regulates the temperature. And carbon dioxide is not a problem because the plants breath it. If we actively try to reduce carbon dioxide, then there could be a mass die-off of plants.
Most scientists agree that there has been no change in the average temperature in the last 20 years. The minority of scientists who are funded by “the agenda” are the ones who are heavily promoted and are constantly agitating for the climate change agenda.
