Overnight shootings rattle Auckland: homes targeted, police on the hunt

Auckland shootings news

Two homes in Auckland were targeted in overnight shootings.

The first incident occurred around 10:30 pm at Ahuwhenua Crescent in Onehunga. Police arrived to find a unit with bullet holes, one of which penetrated a garage and struck a vehicle inside. Despite the damage, no injuries were reported. The suspects had fled the scene before the police arrived.

Detective Senior Sergeant Martin Friend told legacy media that police are actively pursuing leads, including extensive review of CCTV footage from the area. Increased police presence and ongoing investigations are expected.

Shortly after, at 11 pm, police responded to a second shooting at a home on Haddon Street in Māngere East. This scene revealed several bullet holes in the home’s windows and 18 forensic markers on the road where casings were found. Armed police secured the area as detectives began their examination.

These incidents follow a similar shooting in Mt Roskill just a week prior, where gunshots were fired but no injuries or damages were reported. Police are treating all events as serious firearm-related offenses and urge anyone with information to come forward.

  1. If guns were outlawed, only outlaws would have guns! Just ask the Hawks Bay residents!
An armed society is a polite society…
And IF our Firearms Rights were restored as the Coalition Government has now falsely promised, these shootings would stop, as the shooters would suffer someone shooting back at them!
Does this make for a Wild West scenario?
In Gang Land areas, they would shoot at one another…law abiding folks would not be living there to begin with.
The Gangsta Wannabees who break into homes, do ram raids, hold up dairies, crash jewellry stores, and drive around inside the shopping mall concourses etc. would soon find themselves on the…’receiving end’…by arming the population of law-abiding citizens!
The U.N. Right to Self Defence Chapter Seven Article 51 gives us this right under the U.N. Charter and Agreement that New Zealand signed-on to!
F@#k the ‘Coalition Government; next time vote for the NZ Loyal Party and it’s politically persecuted leaders who are now suffering from Lawfare!
