Warriors assistant coach Richard Agar charged with NRL Code of Conduct breach

Richard Agar news

Warriors assistant coach Richard Agar has been charged with breaching the NRL code of conduct following an alleged altercation with journalist John Davidson in Las Vegas earlier this month.

The incident, which reportedly took place in the media box at halftime during the Warriors’ season-opening loss to the Canberra Raiders, has led to a proposed $10,000 fine and a three-game suspension.

Agar has five days to respond to the breach notice, which also includes mandatory education and training.

Despite the investigation, Agar has continued working with the team, and Warriors CEO Cam George dismissed speculation of him being stood down.

The NRL also charged Raiders players Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies for unrelated misconduct during the Las Vegas trip, with their punishments yet to be confirmed.
