In an update to the investigation into the death of Karen White, police have confirmed they are following promising leads.
Karen White, a 60-year-old from Invercargill, was found deceased at her property in Lake Hāwea on March 8, 2024, due to injuries from a severe assault.
Detective Senior Sergeant Regan Boucher stated that the police are engaging with several individuals who are assisting in the enquiries. The team is committed to piecing together the events that led to Mrs. White’s tragic death, he said.
On December 11, 2024, investigators returned to the scene accompanied by scientists from the Environmental Science and Research (ESR), conducting further examinations. Specifics regarding these investigations have not been disclosed.
