Fatal crash, Maraekakaho Road, Hastings
Police can confirm one person has died in hospital following a crash on Maraekakaho Road on 24 March.
Police were notified of the single-vehicle crash at about 5.40am.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
The death will be referred to the coroner.
Death following workplace incident, Mangamahu
One person has died following a workplace incident in Otamoa Road, Mangamahu, today.
Emergency services were called to the scene about 11.40am.
WorkSafe has been notified.
The death will be referred to the Coroner.
Name release – fatal crash, Te Awamutu
Police are now able to name the pedestrian who died after being struck by a vehicle on Sloane Street in Te Awamutu on 17 March.
He was 28-year-old Jonathon Hood, of Ōtorohanga.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
Police continue to appeal for anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information relating to the vehicle involved to get in touch.
