Waratahs topple Chiefs to end 9-year losing streak

The Waratahs pulled off a 21–14 upset over the Chiefs in Sydney, ending a nearly nine-year losing streak and shaking up the Super Rugby Pacific standings.

Despite two disallowed tries, standout performances from Joseph Suaalii and Jamie Adamson, and a breathtaking full-length try, powered the Waratahs to victory.

The Chiefs, plagued by errors and a poor showing from Damian McKenzie, lost their top spot to the Crusaders.

A determined Waratahs side, buoyed by home fans and overcoming a heavy penalty count, now rise to fourth on the ladder.
