Swarbrick confirms shot at Greens co-leadership

Chloe Swarbrick co-leadership news

Green MP Chloe Swarbrick has declared her candidacy for the Green Party’s co-leadership, aiming to succeed James Shaw.

Swarbrick’s announcement comes with a commitment to expand the Green Party and her vision of establishing the nation’s first Green-led government.

Highlighting her track record, including electoral victories in Auckland Central, she told legacy media of ‘the importance of community leadership’ and vows to build ‘a significant Green movement,’ legacy media reported.

Her campaign will focus on ‘climate change‘, equality, and introducing a fairer tax system, while critiquing the current government and the Labour Party for ‘insufficient action’.

If successful Swarbrick will be part of an all-female Green Party leadership team with Marama Davidson that will aim to ‘mobilise support for tangible, people-powered change’ for a ‘more inclusive’ New Zealand.

  1. Yes the party of envy running the country, what a great idea…..NOT.

In any case I’d say there credibility is in the dunny and I for one, hope it stays there.

  2. New lows for a “Green Party” that is anything but Green and simply seeks to yoke all Kiwis up to a fascist regime. They just can’t stand hard-working independent Kiwis. Shame on them all.
