Voting machine ‘glitches’ spark concerns Trump votes are being flipped to Kamala Harris

Reports of voting machine issues are stirring up voter frustration and claims of election interference as social media lights up with accounts of machines “flipping” votes intended for Donald Trump to Kamala Harris.

Voters in states like Kentucky, Arkansas, Virginia, Texas, and beyond are expressing concerns over what they see as recurring errors that only seem to affect votes cast for the former president.

In Kentucky, reports surfaced claiming that some machines “are NOT ALLOWING voters to select President Trump. Instead, when they tap Trump, Kamala Harris ends up being selected,” one Twitter user wrote. The sentiment of distrust in voting machines was clear, as the user exclaimed, “Lie, Cheat, Steal… Repeat…”

In Texas, similar issues reportedly affected voters in Tarrant County, where the GOP chair stated, “People who selected Trump on the screen were seeing Harris on the printed ballot.”

Users on social media urged voters to double-check printed ballots to ensure accuracy, with some calling for a return to hand-counted ballots.

“This stuff boils my blood,” wrote one Twitter user, claiming that these glitches highlight the vulnerability of all voting machines. “ALL voting machines are intrinsically evil.”

Meanwhile, in Laurel County, Kentucky, officials confirmed reports of a “glitch” after the Attorney General’s office investigated viral social media claims.

Laurel County Clerk Tony Brown explained, “After several minutes of attempting to recreate the scenario, it did occur,” noting that hitting a specific area between the boxes could indeed lead to a mis-selection.

However, he clarified, “We tried for several minutes to do it again and could not,” claiming that the device allows voters multiple chances to verify their selections.

The issue extends beyond isolated incidents, as some users pointed out that similar problems allegedly occurred in Tennessee, Georgia, and now Texas. “Isn’t it odd how all of these voting machine ‘glitches’ only go one way?” one user questioned, sparking further skepticism.

Concerns about machine reliability have reached a tipping point in Colorado, where the Libertarian Party filed a lawsuit to force the state to decommission all voting machines, citing a previous incident in which passwords for Mesa County machines were leaked. The lawsuit, referencing an order by Colorado Secretary Jena Griswold in 2021 to decommission 41 voting components, argues that the current machines are vulnerable and calls for a shift to a fully hand-counted ballot system. “The lawsuit is conclusive, and any judge who isn’t compromised will side with them,” an activist claimed, stressing the need for transparency.
