Arsenal delivered a dominant performance in the Netherlands, thrashing PSV Eindhoven 7-1 in their Champions League last-16 first leg.
Jurrien Timber opened the scoring in the 18th minute, followed swiftly by Ethan Nwaneri’s strike, while Mikel Merino capitalized on a defensive error to make it three before halftime.
Noa Lang pulled one back from the penalty spot, but Arsenal overwhelmed PSV in the second half, with Martin Odegaard netting twice, Leandro Trossard adding a clever chip, and Riccardo Calafiori sealing the club’s biggest-ever Champions League away win.
With a second leg still to play, Arsenal look set for a quarter-final showdown against either Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid.
