David Moffet, former CEO of the NRU spoke to the Mike Hosking Breakfast show today and criticised current CEO Mark Robinson of running an ‘absolute bloody shambles’.
Moffet’s serve comes days after former head coach Sir Steve Hansen also took aim at the game’s administrators, believing there was a disconnect between the current board and players.
Robinson is currently in Birmingham attending the XXII Commonwealth Games.
‘How out of touch are these guys now in New Zealand rugby? In ‘saying nothing’ is the least favoured option, he [CEO Mark Robinson] should be back here, fronting the media, holding up his hand, not leaving it up to guys like Foster to front the media on this absolute bloody shambles. It’s chaotic in there at the moment. He [Robinson] should get back here to New Zealand, and while he’s here he should write his letter of resignation.’
