Manchester City captain Kyle Walker has joined AC Milan on loan for the remainder of the season, with an option for the Italian club to make the move permanent.
The 34-year-old England defender, a six-time Premier League winner with City, completed his medical on Thursday and will wear the number 32 shirt for Milan.
Walker, who made 319 appearances for City since his £50m transfer from Tottenham in 2017, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the club, teammates, and Pep Guardiola, under whose guidance he celebrated 17 trophies, including last season’s historic treble.
City wished Walker well as his departure coincided with their signing of Egypt forward Omar Marmoush from Frankfurt for £59m. Walker could debut for Milan against Parma in Serie A on Sunday.
