Watch: Swiss parents fear ‘forced medical transition’ after child placed in state custody

The Swiss government has placed a child in a state home after her parents refused to provide her with puberty blockers.

For over a year, the girl has been under government care, and authorities may now proceed with her medical transition without parental consent.

According to Canadian parental rights activist Chris Elston, more widely known as ‘Billboard Chris‘, the parents said they had a feeling of powerlessness against an alliance between the school, the Swiss Child Protection Agency, and a Geneva hospital.

In a tweet Elston drew attention to the case’s background.

Three years ago following the COVID ‘pandemic’ their daughter said she identified as a boy. The family sought medical advice, leading to the Geneva hospital recommending puberty blockers based on a “gender unicorn” assessment.

The school supported this approach, calling the girl by a male name, despite the parents’ objections. The involvement of a transgender advocacy group, Le Refuge, further influenced the girl’s belief in her male identity.

Eventually, the Swiss Child Protection Agency, with the school’s backing, took legal action against the parents. Now, they face significant legal fees and the potential of being sentenced, while fearing the imminent medical transition of their daughter.
